Set amidst the dramatic tea valleys in Munnar is a beautiful and unique Holiday home - construction of cottage is with eco friendly materials without disturbing the natural terrain of the land. The rooms at Greenspaces are earthy colored, with well-crafted wooden floors and ceilings. It is one of the kerala state tourism department approved stay and classified as “GOLD-HOME. Greenspaces is about 10km away from Munnar town. Munnar is the centre of Kerala’s principal tea growing region which was developed in the late 19th century by Scottish planters. The combination of Munnar’s refreshing climate, its High Range hilltops and luxuriant spice and tea gardens makes it an exceptional holiday destination.

There are rare wild birds with colourful plumage that sing sonorously, all around the resort premises. Bird watchers can spend hours watching the winged surprises all around them. Malabar whistling Thrush, Gray and White-browned wagtail, Red whisked bulbul, Koel, Woodpecker, Parrots, Long Tailed Shrikes, Hornbills etc., are frequently sighted around geenspaces. A great way to enjoy the landscape is to take a walk through the famed tea gardens of Munnar or along the evergreen trees under the shade of which the cardamom is cultivated.

Room and Facilities

We have four spacious rooms (all with attached bathtub and 24-hr running hot water) in which three rooms are facing cardamom plantation, and one is facing the garden. Two Rooms in the First Floor have wooden flooring, wooden ceiling, with a common deck space. Two Rooms in the Ground Floor have wooden flooring, private balcony. Air conditioning and fans are not available in our rooms. Greenspaces is located at around 1600 meters above sea level and maintain climatic conditions with temp ranging from 7c to 19c, with its unpolluted air do not seek for an artificial conditioning to the homes. Room heater can be provided on request.

Our menu is not a-la-carte instead it is traditional and homely food, usually set between the Guest and the caretaker (English/Hindi speaking) depending upon the culinary skill of the cook, on to which your suggestions are also welcome. Try out the barbeque experience!! Barbecue-grill and Coal can be arranged on request. We do not stock in vegetables/meat/poultries in the freezers, so it is better to tell in advance about the meal preference so that the caretaker can buy the fresh items from munnar local market. If you are very much particular about the hotel food, multi cuisine restaurant is available about 100mts away from greenspaces.

Munnar ( part of western ghats ) picturesque hill station that is nestled in Idukki District, Kerala , is one of the worlds ten hottest biodiversity hotspots and has over 5000 species and 179 amphibian species. Munnar Town’s Tea Museum and the old fashioned High Range Club are mementos of this colonial past, as are the old British bungalows which dot the surrounding mountains.

The main attraction of Munnar is the Neelakurunji bushes found in the grasslands and forests. During the blooming season that comes once in every 12 years, the whole of the mountain ranges appear to be bluish. Munnar offers a lot to explore the mountains, the streams, the waterfalls, valleys, the wildlife sanctuaries, the hamlets, the flora and fauna and more. Munnars fabulous scenery holds many opportunities for trekking. Eravikulam National Park and Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary hold rare species such as the Nilgiri Tahr mountain goat and the white bison of Manjampatti, and well over 220 species of birdlife.
